New stuff

Well I unpassword protected the site now that the adduser functions are working properly (i think). So people trying to sign up will no longer break the site.

I added a “help” forum in order for us to keep record of any problems anyone has and for anyone to ask questions. And bob started on the “users page” original template, it should be interesting hehe. He came up with this graphic header that has the username in it, and all I could say was “how are we going to do that?” On the fly creation of custom graphics? Well, I had a little knowledge of the past with creating graphics in PHP with true type fonts. I recalled that info deep inside my brain somewhere and out popped the code to create dynamic graphics with the username in it. Yay!

In non cabin related news… I still have no job come later next month, but Caterpillar is interested in me and is reviewing my resume. I may still end up in Peoria yet. Also Acxciom has talked to me about joining them in downer’s grove.

I still think i’ll end up unemployed, though :)

Well j’all. It’s that time of year again where all the college kiddies come back home from thier little cells. Of course some (Nicole) will argue that college is “home” and not elsewhere. That’s just being stupid.

I posted a journal entry this time last year, and I will continue to for the rest of my life. I’d like to make this post in honor of all the non kiddies in the world that survived this rough time of finals. We listened to them bitch and moan. They made it sound like the world was ending because they had some lame test to take. We heard them cry because they were leaving thier friends for a couple months. We heard “OMG I DONNO IF I CAN WERK AT 0LD NAVY THIS SUMMR(q%&”. Well friends, we made through most of it. The last phase of summer bitching is just finishing up. Where they complain about where to work and moving thier stuff.

So everyone, do your best to ignore all the kiddies that moved back into your world for the summer. Try to understand that they are lame and don’t know better.

It’s only for a few months, then they go “home”.

job stuff

Well Chris the main Oronova guy told me for sure today that Aljion consulting did get thier own guy into the contract in Milwaukee.. and I figured that anyway. But he assured me he would find something for me before things finalize here. He’s a good guy and he’s looking out for me. But i’m still freaking out.

My bitch of a sister moved home yesterday. She’s already yelling and screaming non stop.

My mom, because she knows i’m going to be losing my job, is telling me I have to start paying for more shit. So once I lose my job i’m going to have to cancel my internet and cell phone service to save money.

Acxiom called me yesterday. Said there’s no jobs that will fit my lack of skill set.
