I’m finally home after a long and sunburnt weekend.
You guys will all enjoy this. I was at a resturaunt in some town in Wisconson about 20miles from here who had this really cute waitress. I made some small talk with her and left my TheCabin card on the table with my email and the URL to this site hehe. Wonder if she’ll come to the site, that’d be cool :)
I’m not one to be the kind of guy who “hits on” girls. But I was in a goofy mood. The Kilties do that to me. But she was cute!
On the Kilties note, got a lot of drill done and learned some of the new music for “Miss Otis Regrets” this weekend, and marched a parade in Berlington, WI for the Chocolate Festival. Got to hang out with Count Chocula and other chocolate people.
Fun weekend! Glad to be home though. Can get some more web site work done this weekend. Bob found a bug I need to fix and I got a few little features to implement. Yay!

Well the guy in charge of Oronova here at Nuveen talked to me again. Said he’s giving me a project to justify the need of one person to stay behind when everyone is gone so I can keep my job. While staying here it will buy them time to find me something worthwhile within Oronova.
The original plan was to give site services the remaining roles after we will be gone, but Oronova finds that that is not acceptible. I have some problems with this.
1) The amount of work that will be left is next to nothing. Financialy it SHOULD be left to site services. It does not justify a full time employee.
2) The work that will be left will SUCK and I don’t want a part of it. Even if it’s just temporary… define temporary. One week? One year? If i’m here doing that job, they would gain little by trying to find me something better.
I don’t know what to do. I tried to look happy when he was saying his grand plan to keep me employed. But wouldn’t it kind of be better for me to lose my job and start fresh and find somewhere worthwhile? I’d be a full time salaried employee of Oronova… great company… lousy position.
The other things on my plate are still Caterpillar in Peoria, still waiting to hear back on thier interest level with me and Acxiom who are genuinely interested in me.. but nobody knows for what.
What would you guys do? (WWYGD?)

4 years in the making it’s finally here. 10pm today I shall finally view what i’ve been waiting for since my senior year of high school.
Sure it’s not even 6am yet (the time on this post says different)… but i’m awake enough to realize what wonders I shall see tonight.
I’m going to watch the first one before I go to make sure i havn’t missed anything in the first 100 times I saw it.
