ME!
I turn 22 today. I feel old. Someone at work thought I was younger than that :( Lamer m3.
The only age to look forward to now is 50 when I can join AARP. Blah. Will be a long few decades.
What am I doing for my birthday tonight you ask? Um.. IRC! And this weekend is Drum Kamp in Racine. God i’m sad. All week long all I do is think about drumming. Luckily even though the corps is off this week the drumline is getting together for sectionals.
Also on the Kilties front our Caption Head got canned last night. Replacement is in the works. I think this is good news. I think.

I had a really odd dream last night. I dreamed that I was stil living in Michigan, and I was coming home from somewhere. I get home and see multiple cars in the driveway. I enter the house to be greeted by none other than Bill Gates.
It seems he came to visit me in early celebration of my birthday. So him and I talked, and whenever he had to get away to take a phone call (It was a blue Nokia phone) one of the people he was with would talk to me. One gave me a business card.
So after a few hours Bill had to go, and that was that.

Long but fun weekend. I love those Kilties. I’m always lazy and hesitent to go to rehersal, but once I get there I have a blast… no exception this time.
This past weekend was probably the best Kilties kamp i’ve ever been too. The whole corps stepped it up a notch and we got a TON done. The corps on a whole Learned almost 30 sets of brand new drill, and the drumline with drill rewrites learned over 45! We all hyped on our new machine-like rehersal standards and had two great days of rehersal.
On Monday we had a parade… I hate parades. But out of nowhere us two tenors decided we would strap on bass drums for the parade and march no tenors. We figured someone would have a problem with this.. but nobody did. We marched a full 5 basses in the parade and had a blast doing runs for the street beat and such. Maybe next time we’ll get to split 32nd notes.
Tara, Marianne, and I sat down and watched some DCA corps finally so we know what our competition is. Our goal is to hit 10th place, but we’ll have to keep working if we will reach that.
Last week I had a phone interview with Cat, and they are only going to bring in the top one or two people out of 8 for a face to face interview. Bradford & Galt the consulting company i’d be hired through said the hiring manager said i’m in the top one or two of that and they’ll get an official notice of an interview soon. Kind of a nice ego boost. We’ll see how it goes. My worries is that the new job would conflict with kilties :(

Just wanted to say hi, It’s almost 1:30am. Marianne and Tara are here, we’re doing a parade tomorrow.. we saw reloaded again tonight. shrug so tired
Had an awesome weekend of rehersal. Got a ton done.. i’m pumped. This kilties thing is something else. I’ll go into detail on this weekend later. IT’s time for bed.
