I had a j00by j00b interview today. Was pretty brutal. Had 7 different people interviewing me. Ack. I’ll post more in the mornig.

B0b asked me to post a quick cabin update so everyone knows what’s going on. And there is a lot going on. So we’ll start here:
Drum corps is over for the season. I didn’t really post much about it when we went to DCA.. but it really was a blast. I was in the Crunchy Frog Cymbal Ensemble and we had a great time. The open house will be in October to start the new season and we all have high hopes.
I got tickets to Marilyn Manson! Kelley and I are gonna go.
My job sucks. My old manager told me to get the heck out of here lol. I do very little here at all… but some people would die to have a job where you get paid to do nadda. So i’m sitting here thinking of my game plan while working on web pages and such… and getting paid.
The band, The 8 Balls, will be performing October 31st in Michigan. It’ll be the first time ever we will have performed live. I’m pretty pumped. I put up my drums a bit ago when we decided to do the show so I could reherse. I used the Gibraltar rack from my electronic drum set and mounted the acoustics on there… along with electronic triggers. I’m using an Alesis DM-5 for the electronic drum samples, an Alesis D4 for a trigger module, and a Roland vstudio sampler for my custom samples that include all kinds of 8 balls stuff.. most from the “Start ‘em while they’re young” LP we recorded xmas time 2 years ago. We’ll be playing some old tunes as well.. like “Gorilla Man” and “Spastics Wammy”. The amount of equipment i’m going to have to haul will be a bit much. Just the electronics themselves are pretty extensive. Should be fun though.
And the big one: Kelley’s office moved to Joliet, IL yesterday. She’s known about it for a while and bought a house nearby there. We decided I should go with. Many advantages would come out of this… mostly I’ll have space. Space for my computers, space for my music equipment, space for my home theatre stuff. I’ll get to put things where they should be instead of them all being in my bedroom. I’ve always wondered what my surround sound sounded like in a real livingroom. I’ll be able to have drums set up all of the time and a real area to do my own recording. Not to mention i’ll only be 28min from work instead of 1hr+15min.
The catch is.. i’ve yet to tell my parents i’m going… and I don’t know how to say it. I’ll say something soon once I can find out what to say. But it’s better for me to go… for all the big reasons above.
