Back to work after taking a day off due to feeling like poo. I have my Doctor’s appointment tomorrow, so i’ll be late to work because of that.

Updated the admin blurb on cabin site to let everyone know about the new stuff. The CGI IRC client is pretty sweet, works really well. I just had to hax0r some stuff up so it would integrate into the site without having to log in and chose options.

Ken today at work recieved the engagement ring that he’ll be giving his chick. Excuse the blackness, but it has quite the “bling”.

And my coworker friend of mine, Frank, got a call about a month ago about his FrankPayne.com site. Turns out it was Microsoft and the article (that Frank is pretty embarassed about, cuz it’s kinda lame) is HERE.

Sick :(

I’m home sick today. Something happened Friday where I started feeling pretty bad, and then being outside in the heat and stuff for corps this past weekend killed me. On top of that I got sunburnt :

I really hot, but I have shivers at the same time.. that whole deal. Got a bad sinus infection, hopefully the doctor will be able to take care of all this at my appointment on Wednesday morning.

On a good note, my replacement home file server stuff should be on it’s way via UPS. I hoped tigerdirect.com would put it together for me, but it looks like i’m building the machine myself from parts. It’ll replace the two machines serving files for my network at the present time.

Ok, I guess that’s all for now. It’s really hot in here :(

Kilties Weekend again

This weekend is another Kilties weekend. It’s our first time this year we’ll start working on drill, being that it’s nice weather now.

I’ve been working on the cabin site a bit. Fixed up the users pages. Check mine out at HERE. Each cabin user will have a personal web page (that can be customized via thier profile) as long as they have some journal content. Check it!

Good news on the drum corps front, my drum corps friends, The San Francisco Renegades will be coming to perform at DCM. It’ll be quite the party!

Check out the new trailer there for I,ROBOT. Looks like a sweet movie. Bob said it seems like the pre-story for The Matrix.. it does kind of seem like it, even though I,ROBOT was written long before Matrix.

I purchased a new PC last night online. I’ve been having issues with my Netfinity’s working with my IDE drives, so I caved. The thing is, I purchased it from of all places… Wal*Mart. Under $250 for THIS. Even comes with a 40G hard drive, keyboard, mouse, speakers, neat black case, some RAM. I figured it was worth a shot to consolidate the two fileservers (mp3 and the homedirs) into one machine with the multiple drives. I’ll then use one of the IBM rackmounts as a Win2k3 server.

What do you think? Good deal?
