Gabe Kangas is a mobile-focused developer, musician, and technology professional from San Francisco.
In Gabe’s list of accomplishments you’ll see things like being the host of a top 10 ranked Podcast, author of a web app rated by PC World as “best of the web”, founder of one of the internet’s longest existing chat communities, and mentioned on Digg.com and TechCrunch.com’s front pages on multiple occasions.
In the professional realm Gabe has previously inhabited the cubes as a senior systems administrator, web developer, operations lead, unix systems engineer, and infrastructure tool developer.
Outside of the world of suits, cubes and fluorescent lights you’d often find him playing the part of musician. He’s been an active part in two Drum and Bugle Corps, in his first taking claim the title of “brass player rookie of the year”. He’s been a percussion instructor for two high schools for both marching bands and indoor percussion ensembles. His solo project, “Real-ity”, has had tracks featured on podcasts and video projects with hopes of more coming down the road.
